[edit] HighSimSim - Internet Alias

HighSimSim is a multi-purpoes alias used as my official pen name, user name on numerous websites, and my official name within the Gaming world (Most notably with my Xbox Live Gamertag).

[edit] Origin

Back in 2000, when The Sims game was released, I was a big fan of the game. I created multiple Sim families, each one with it's own backstory. After going through a bunch of failed families, I decided to create a Sim family and stick with it. When creating the backstory for this Sim family, I came across an idea about revolving the family's ancestry around Gods. Thus being, the Sims in my final Sim family would be the descenants of gods, divine beings of a higher existence.

Time went by, and I finally decided to register at Maxis.com. Having to come up with a user name, I used "HighSim" in regards to my Sim family. When Maxis.com deleted all their users due to mandatory maintenance, I still wanted to use my old account name, so I just added an extra "Sim" at the end. Thus, "HighSimSim" was born.

[edit] Meaning

"High", in my intended use, is meant to refer to a type of rank, such as a king or divine being. I obviously know what the first impression of the word "high" is, but I had not intended it in regards to drug use. "Sim" referred to the virtual people found within The Sims game, but since the time I used to play that game is long past, I now associated the word "Sim" in regards to "simulations", as in video games. So, a rough meaning of the word "HighSimSim" would mean "King Gamer of Games".

[edit] The Blue Raiderz

The Blue Raiderz clan was a gaming clan that revolved around the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live service. It was established on July 10th, 2005 by Witchitaw (Brent, "Witchitaw") and Blue Riot (Adam, "Gamer Andy") at Huxley Nexus, the very first Huxley community. The Blue Raiderz clan was primarily created for the up-coming massively multiplayer online gunner Huxley, but became a multi-game clan overtime. The clan was disbanned by a unanimous vote of the Commission on December 5th, 2006.

[edit] Mature Gaming Clan

The Blue Raiderz clan was considered to be a mature gaming clan. The general sense of being "mature" would be following the rules of the clan and respecting the opinions and lifestyles of others. We welcomed those who were patient, mature, respect people, and also people who generally enjoyed playing with fun people. We accepted anyone of any skill level, so long as they agreed to work hard and hone their skills.

Clan Rules

There were few rules clan members were required to follow. It was required that all clan members, regardless of rank, followed the rule of the clan. They are stated below:

  • When in combat, or public games, always listen to your leading commander and obey their commands. Team work is essential to victory.
  • No Cheating/Glitching/Hacking will be permitted. You must play legitimately in all games you play.
  • You must play the game right and respect other players. Do not tarnish the reputation of the clan over a petty argument.
  • No going crazy in-game (ex. commiting suicide/and or killing members on your team). This rule only applies to public games and/or scrims.
  • Respect all clan allies and their members. If you have a problem with a particular member of an allied clan, let the Commission know about it.

As far as sportsmanship goes, we can understand what goes on inside the games. But, we will not let bad-sportmanship ruin one of our games. If you start cursing uncontrollable in vain at any other player because he/she is killing you or whatever, the Commission will take action. Punishment for such behavior depends on the act. Small acts of rule breaking will result with a suspension from the clan, with varying lengths of time. More serious acts of rule breaking will result with a suspension, or possible discharge from the clan.

[edit] The Commission

The Commission, created on December 4th, 2005, was the clan's governing body, and consisted of the clan's most loyal and worthy members, who had proven themselves before to be excellent leaders, organizers, and had been the most active above all others. A member of the Commission, or Commissioner, had the highest authority within the clan. Commissioners mainly held the following ranks: Majors, Captains, 1st Lieutenants, and 2nd Lieutenants (Optional).

The Commission held a number of supreme authorities, the main ones stated below:

  • Make or Raze Clan Rules
  • Discharge or Suspend Clan Members
  • Demote or Promote Clan Members
  • Disperse or Assemble Clan Units
  • Form Alliances or Declare War With Other Clans
  • Manage In-Game Clan Bank

The Core Commissioners are the non-changing members of the establishment, and consist of the clan's founders, as well as the current clan leader. The Regular Commissioners are the changing members of the establishment, and consist of the clan's platoon leaders and their subordinates. The Honorary Commissioners are also the changing members of the establishment, and consist of members who earned the right to be within the Commission.

[edit] Organizational Structure

The Blue Raiderz consisted of two platoons, the Infantry Platoon and the Armored Cavalry Platoon. Each platoon corresponded to a specific form of gameplay.

Infantry Platoon

The Infantry Platoon mainly operates as a basic combat unit, and deals heavily on squad tactics, tactical positioning, and strategic use of weaponry. In association with the creation of the Commission, the Infantry platoon was created on December 4th, 2005. It’s purpose is to build a stronger understanding of it’s members to become an effective force in combat, regardless of which game is played. It mainly operates as basic infantry, such as soldiers, who are skilled with typical weaponry. The newly created Commission appointed Roffkaiser as the first platoon leader of the 1st Infantry platoon, while Chubbs was appointed his subordinate. Chubbs was relocated within the clan to become the first platoon leader of the 1st Mechanized platoon. Roffkaiser appointed Althasil as his subordinate. Roffkaiser replaced Althasil with BreachOpen as his subordinate.

Armored Cavalry Platoon

Before the 1st Armored Cavalry, there were two platoons that pertained to the effective use of vehicles. These platoons were the 1st Mechanized platoon, previously led by Chubbs, and the 1st Flight platoon, previously led by Luppin. For efficiency purposes, these two platoons were combined, and thus the Armored Cavalry platoon was created. It’s purpose is to build a stronger understanding of it’s members to become an effective force in combat, regardless of which game is played. It mainly operates as basic mechanized units, such as a tank or jet squadron, who are skilled with the handling and use of typical vehicles, both in air and on land. The two previous platoon leaders of the 1st Mechanized and 1st Flight platoons were given new duties by the Commission, and Cycloptic Ox was appointed the first platoon leader of the newly created 1st Armored Cavalry platoon. Cycloptic appointed Halflife as his subordinate. Cycloptic resigned from his position and the Commission appointed Halflife as the platoon leader. Halflife appointed Cycloptic as his subordinate. Cycloptic was dishonorably discharged from the clan. Halflife was honorably discharged from the clan. The Commission appointed Chubbs as the platoon leader.

Squads and Roles

Each squad has a different role it plays in combat, from dealing with Heavy Weaponry to simply being an attack force. Each squad has two teams, Alpha and Bravo, which is led by a "Team Leader". Furthermore, each squad has one "Squad Leader", which both teams are to follow.

Since the Blue Raiderz is a multi-game clan, there is a heavily emphasis on member relationships, as playing with people you know and like play a major role in creating an effective fighting force.

[edit] Clan Members

The Blue Raiderz clan has had numerous gamers join and leave it's roster. On 7/10/05, the day of the clan's foundation, DragonForce and HighSimSim were admitted into the clan. On 9/5/05, Looc, Roffkaiser, Luppin, Shogun, and Althasil were admitted into the clan. On 9/14/05, Godskilla was admitted into the clan.

[edit] Lancers' Requiem

The Lancers' Requiem clan is a gaming clan that revolves around the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live service. It was established on October 1st, 2006 by Roff Kaiser (Brandon, "Roff Kaiser") and HighSimSim (Nathan, "HighSimSim") as the "hardcore" successor of the Blue Raiderz clan. The Lancers' Requiem clan is a multi-gaming clan, and will play Age of Conan and A.P.B., or All Points Bulletin, as it's primary games in the future.

Clan Rules

The Lancers' Requiem continues the Rule System established by the Blue Raiderz. All rules are enforced by the Consilium. Failure to follow these rules will result in either a warning or discharge from the clan. All rules must be followed by all clan members, regardless of rank and position:

  • Team work is essential to victory. You must talk to your teammates and respect their opinions.
This rule only applies to public games and/or matches.
  • Respect all clan allies and their members. If you have a problem with a particular member of an allied clan, let the Consilium know about it.

[edit] The Consilium

The Lancers' Requiem continues the Leadership System established by the Blue Raiderz, but with few variants.

The Consilium, created on October 2nd, 2006, is the clan's governing body, and consisted of the clan's most loyal and worthy members, who had proven themselves before to be excellent leaders, organizers, and had been the most active above all others. A member of the Consilium, or Ordinate, has the highest authority within the clan. Ordinates mainly held the following ranks: Majors, Captains, 1st Lieutenants, and 2nd Lieutenants (Optional).

The Primoris Consilium holds a number of supreme authorities, the main ones stated below:

  • Make or Raze Clan Rules
  • Discharge or Suspend Clan Members
  • Demote or Promote Clan Members
  • Disperse or Assemble Clan Units
  • Form Alliances or Declare War With Other Clans
  • Manage In-Game Clan Bank

The Altera Consilium holds a number of authorities, the main ones stated below:

The Primoris Consilium are the non-changing members of the establishment, and consist of the clan's founders, as well as the current clan leaders. The Altera Consilium are the changing members of the establishment, and consist of the clan's platoon leaders and their subordinates.

[edit] Stories and Narratives

One thing probably no one knows about me is that I enjoy writing. At the most basic level, writing helps me keep my ideas organized, but also helps bring my ideas to life. Most of my stories start off as dreams, but some come from random ideas that occur to me during the day.

All my stories are either science fiction or fantasy, or a combination of both. A common theme that can be found in all my stories is the endless battle between Good and Evil. Another common theme is an interpretation of a metaphysical existence, or an eternal self-existent state of being.
