Kroumata are a Swedish percussion ensemble formed 1978 in Stockholm. They perform mostly Contemporary classical music, either alone or backed-up by an orchestra. Their repertoire spans from music by Carl Orff and John Cage to lesser know Swedish composers such as Morgan Ågren.[1] They have performed in close to forty countries.[2]

Their name comes from ancient Greek where it was used as a collective term for all forms of percussion instruments http://www.kroumata.rikskonserter.se/sv/om/skal_om.html
They have their own small stage in central Stockholm, Capitol, where they give concerts when they are not touring.
