Hilde Frafjord Johnson

Hilde Frafjord Johnson (born August 29, 1963 in Arusha, Tanzania) is a Norwegian politician from the Christian Democratic Party. She is a former Minister of International Development in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and member of the Norwegian Government. She has established herself as a prominent member of the International Development community. She was one of the hottest candidates as Administrator of the UNDP in spring 2005, but lost to Turkey's earlier finance minister Kemal Devish (also an earlier high ranked official in the World Bank).
Hilde Frafjord Johnson is a leading member of the UNDP hosted Commission on Legal Empowerment of the Poor.
