Hilsa is a city and a notified area in Nalanda district in the Indian state of Bihar.It is situated between islampur and patna.It is connected directly to capital of India Delhiby a superfast train Magadh express.Apart from this it is also connected to capital of Bihar Patna by two other passenger trains named as Danapur Islampur passenger and Buxer Islampur passenger (populerly known as Samdhinia) .It is also connected to patna by a nice road.It is surrounded by green lands.It is a centre of education in that region .There is one government college S.U.college, Hilsa and two other private colleges namely Sardar Patel college and Mahanth Mahavidyalaya in Hilsa certified from Magadh University, Gaya.There is also Three government high schools(Ram Babu high school, May high school ,may,hilsa and Ramchandra Gupta kanya uchha vidyalaya ,hilsa) and a number of private high schools .
