[edit] History
[edit] Rival Schools
In Rival Schools: United By Fate, Hinata is a concerned student at Taiyo High School. When she finds out the newest student at the school, Batsu Ichimonji, is investigating the recent wave of kidnappings among the local schools, she eagerly insists on joining him, despite his insistence that he didn't want any assistance. Despite this, she and Kyosuke Kagami join Batsu eventually defeating the mastermind of the kidnappings, Hyo Imawano. Her spirited work in the investigation, though, inspired the other students at Taiyo to learn martial arts in order to defend their school, which surprised and pleased Hinata.
[edit] Project Justice
When the Taiyo-Pacific Athletics Battle is interrupted by violence lead by a Batsu look-a-like, Hinata is one of the first to investigate the case, joining Batsu and Kyosuke in doing so. However, she is the most distraught over the disappearance of Batsu after he gets humliated by Akira and runs away. She and Kyosuke continue the investigation with Chairperson taking Batsu's place. Eventually, they confront the person posing as Batsu, but are easily defeated by Hyo.
Hinata is then targeted and kidnapped by the impostor Batsu, but is saved when the real Batsu returns and fends off the impostor. Later on, Hinata helps her classmates in defeating the possessed Hyo, whose death causes the disappearance of Kyosuke. In the end, Hinata is one of many Taiyo students left wondering what happened to Kyosuke.
The alternate storyline for Taiyo High School changes Hinata's fate; instead of being saved by Batsu, she is instead captured by Kurow, and is later saved by Pacific High students Roy Bromwell and Tiffany Lords.
[edit] Cameos
- Hinata makes a cameo appearance in Capcom vs. SNK 2 with Batsu in Kyosuke's Final Grade Remix super move.
- Hinata also makes cameo appearances in the Street Fighter Legends: Sakura comics. She is shown beating up a ticket scalper at a wrestling event with Sakura's help in Issue #1, and at a diner with Natsu, Sakura, and Kei looking at pictures of the wrestling match between Zangief and Rainbow Mika Nanakawa (of whom she is a fan).
