From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hindi Wikipedia (Hindi: विकिपीडिया wikipīḍiyā) is the Hindi language edition of Wikipedia, run by the Wikimedia Foundation. Started in July 2003, the Hindi Wikipedia currently has around 7500 legitimate content articles and 1000 registered editors.[1] It was created primarily to cater to the needs of Hindi speaking people, especially from India. As the Hindi Wikipedia uses Indic script (Devanagari), it requires support for complex text rendering.
