Can someone define Maghreb for those of us who aren't familiar with the term? I get the feeling that it's a region in North Africa... mennonot 13:22, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)
See Maghreb; it's North Africa minus Egypt, basically.
what is here now ? when is this maghreb born ? is it not an arabic word ? when where the history of the almoravids or the old history a maghrib history ? .Aziri 12:28, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Ask Ibn Khaldun, since you still seem to think he was a Berber. Or ask al-Bakri, or any other medieval Arabic geographer. - Mustafaa 17:35, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
maghreb is used by the old writers. but it was never been. it was just the arabic name for north africa. the name of north africa was , lybie, barbary, let me see how it was maghreb, by the not arabic literature.Aziri 12:17, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
