HMS Ardent (H41)

The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Ardent was launched on 26 June 1929. She served in the North Atlantic, and was sunk on 8 June 1940, in a battle involving her sister ship HMS Acasta, the aircraft carrier HMS Glorious (both of which were also sunk) and the German battlecruisers Gneisenau and Scharnhorst. All but one of her complement of 138 were lost.
