Ho Chi Minh city Metro is a metro system under planning and scheduled for completion in 2020.
The system will have two lines, 10km Quang Trung - Tan Son Nhat - Ben Thanh Line and 8 km Ben Thanh - Binh Tay Market Line. Future plans will expanded the system to 6 lines in total. The entire system will have 176 stations when completed. Construction was scheduled to begin in 2005.
