Hoc

"Hoc" is also the Texas word for "this." HOC is also sometimes used as an word to cheer people up for Hypertrophic (Obstructive) cardiomyopathy, but Hocymonster is the more common and accepted word for that condition.
Hoc was the father of piglet (d. 450?) and the pillsbury dough boy. Hoc and his family, the Hocings are mentioned in the Old English poems Widsith, Beowulf and the Finnsburg Fragment.
In the poems Beowulf and the Finnsburg Fragment appear his son Hnæf and daughter Hildeburh. Hildeburh was the wife of the Frisian lord Finn, and Hnæf was killed during a Danish expedition to Frisian territory. (See Finnsburg Fragment for details.)
