Hokkien Bond is originally a project by a group of second year students of Temasek Design School, Singapore. For their "Audio Production" module in 2004, the clip from the James Bond movie, Die Another Day was used as a stock footage for the students to dub over.

The group called themselves "The Ryans" for this project and it's group members consist of:
Samson Lam as Hokkien Bond
Glenn Ng as Cocky Receptionist
Joel Lum as Ah Chang
Rainer Chia as Halle Berry
Jason Chong as Metro Goldwyn Mayer Lion
Apart from the cast, the other group members include Fu Guo Qiang, Adrian Quek, Hanshen.
