Hold Off Red

Hold Off Red is a RPG/arcade game created by Helix Games Inc. The player, roleplaying a heart, attempts to fend off various-colored creatures called Woes by shooting bullets at them. Woes come in several types, from red to gold. The game only has one playing mode, an 'arcade' type of mode, but additional difficulties can be unlocked. There are 14 unlockables to collect, including 2 difficulties, 6 special attacks (chosen in Settings and activate by right clicking), and 6 secrets.

The game has several stats, listed below.
[edit] Health
How many hits your heart can take. This is crucial in later waves as pink Woes start firing a lot of bullets at you. Regenerates 20% at the end of each wave..
[edit] Energy
How many bullets you can fire. This stat is one of the most important. Normally regenerates 1/12th of max each second, but has a different regeneration amount in different difficulties.
[edit] Damage
How much damage you do with your bullets. The more you have, the more energy is used per shot. It is not visible in-game; only on a level up.

How close you are to being able to use your special attack. This is filled up by killing enemies. The later the wave, the harder it is to fill this up.
[edit] Gameplay
Your heart lies in the center of a completely white arena with no features. Soon after beginning a new game, Woes will appear from the side of the screen, heading torward your heart. You must shoot the Woes until they are out of health, at which point they will retreat to the sides again. Every Woe you kill gives you points depending on how far it is from your heart when it dies. If a Woe reaches your heart, you lose health; if a Woe takes all your health, your heart explodes, signifying that the game is over and the Woe have won. When you defeat enough Woes, the "wave" will be over, and you have a chance to rest before faster and stronger Woes come at you in larger numbers.
In addition to just scoring points for killing Woes, you can mount up a combo, which is a very good way to earn lots of points. For each enemy you kill, the combo points will go up, as well the time left before the combo runs out. If you are hit with an active combo, you lose the combo completely. If the time runs out or you click the heart between waves, you are credited with the combo points and start afresh. If you are in a high wave or have a large amount of hits in your combo, your combo will build up more quickly. To actually start a combo, you must kill 2 Woes within 3 seconds of each other.
Over 40 stats are recorded, including stats about totals, enemies, hits, and combos. There are also some "useless" stats such as Insomnia, which is how much time you've played between 1 AM and 5 AM.
You also have a game rank, which is a summary of everything you do in the game. There are currently no people with the highest rank, 10, but four or five people have claimed to have Rank 9.
