[edit] Accuracy
Considering that the Fleet Captain (Star Trek) insignia here depicted appears in the 1987 Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise, as a "Commodore" insignia, then the claim that Hollywood Pins invented it would seem to be in error. Rather at a loss what to do about this, as I don't have any access to reliable sources about Hollywood Pins (not even managed to find an advert from them). Morwen - Talk 14:19, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Also, according to [1], the "Flag Admiral" insignia and name was actually a FASA creation, again pre-dating 1990. Morwen - Talk 14:44, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Also, archive.org has an archive of their website which suggests they were still trading in the late 1990s at least (copyright date 1998). Hmm. I can find some evidence on the internet that Hollywood Pins were active as early as 1988, which suggests maybe they were founded a lot earlier, and thus could have invented the Fleet Captain and Commodore insignias.
