Home of the Brave is a 2006 drama film following the lives of four American soldiers in Iraq and their return back to the United States. The movie was shot in Morocco and in Spokane, Washington. During the film, local police officers and citizens participate as extras.
The film has received an MPAA rating of R for violence and language.
Aspects of the plot, characters, and dialogue are notably similar to The Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble's 2005/2006 stage production of Wounded, the story of four soldiers attempting to assimilate into civilian life after receiving physical and psychological injuries while serving in Iraq.
[edit] Synopsis
Shortly after learning their unit will soon return home, they are sent on one final humanitarian mission to bring medical supplies to a remote Iraqi village. The unit is ambushed and takes heavy losses. The surviving troops suffer both physical and psychological injuries. As they return to the United States, the four soldiers must face memories of the past as they look towards the future and return to civilian life.
