Hopkins Junior High School

Hopkins Junior High School is a secondary school in Fremont, California. It is located at 600 Driscoll Rd. 94539[1]. It is one of five junior high schools in the city belonging to the Fremont Unified School District. Hopkins is part of the Mission Attendance area, and goes to Mission San Jose High School. Students from Chadbourne Elementary School, Gomes Elementary School, Mission San Jose Elementary School and Mission Valley Elementary School attend Hopkins Junior High. The school has the highest API score of all public junior highs in California for the year of 2005, and the second highest in 2006.[2].
Hopkins has recently started Music on Fridays, in which students get to choose songs to play during lunch on Fridays. It has been suggested that they are following the steps of Horner Junior High School, which has a similar Friday event. Every other Friday, Hopkins also has Spirit Days.
Several teachers at Hopkins are Dr. Paul Ricks, Tammy Woolbright, Yvonne Alexander, and Greg Sutton
