When shy student Mandy has her dog kidnapped, Veronica takes on the case and ventures in Neptune's seedy underbelly of dognapping rings. Sort of. Also, Weevil breaks into Lilly's room to steal something. Veronica and Logan begin secretly dating, and Veronica breaks things off with Deputy Leo.

- Weevil breaks into Lilly's room and steals a pink "spy pen" that Lilly used to hold secret messages. He gives it back to Veronica, but it's empty.
- Keith discreetly takes hair samples from Veronica and sends in for a DNA test.
