Howard Fineman

Howard Fineman is a political journalist. He grew up a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, attended college at Colgate University and was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Later Fineman attended law school at the University of Louisville in Kentucky studying journalism. He has done reporting as a political columnist for Newsweek, including traveling with the President, columns in the run-up and aftermath of the Iraq war, the 2004 Presidential election, and the September 11 attacks. He has appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews and similar shows.
In the fall of 2005, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and was recovering from surgery related to the illness.
