Hugo Sotil

Hugo Sotil Yeren (born May 10, 1949 in Ica) is a Peruvian former football midfielder. He competed for the Peru national football team at the 1970 and 1978 FIFA World Cup, wearing the number 20 jersey on both occasions. At club level he played his football for Municipal (Peru), FC Barcelona (Spain) and Alianza Lima (Peru). He made his debut for the national team on February 4, 1970.
Hugo Sotil played, and scored the opening goal, in an all-star match between Europe and South America in 1973 at the Nou Camp in Barcelona.
