To this category belong all fictional species and subspecies that:
- were genetically, magically, or otherwise derived from homo sapiens
- were at one time homo sapiens but later became a different species
Characters do not belong in here unless they are the sole example of their species. Eg. do not include examples of vampires, but do include vampire. Species created by humans, but not containing human DNA, souls, etc., do not belong here.
