Talk:Human rights abuses in Vietnam after the fall of Saigon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is anti-communist bunk!!! The presence of this page is an insult to the integrity of Wikipedia. It must be either greatly altered or outright removed! There was nothing even close to a "holocaust" after 1975. The closest to such was the executions of up to 15 000 class enemies between 1954 and 1957 in the Democratic Republic of North Vietnam.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Le Anh-Huy (talk • contribs) 08:34, 28 June 2005.

I strongly disagree. The title refers to "atrocities" not a "holocaust". The story needs to be told about what happened after 1975, so in my opinion rightly belongs here in Wiki.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.42.44.88 (talk • contribs) 04:41, 25 August 2005.

I agree that the subject needs to remain. However the wording of the title is highly pejorative. Where is the page American war atrocities in Vietnam? Was the use of Agent Orange, or My Lai, or the Phoenix Programme any less "atrocious"?
Further this page is a redirect from Vietnamese Holocaust. To label only the actions of the NVA against the South after the fall of Saigon as a Vietnamese Holocaust is far from a neutral point of view.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by John Murray (talk • contribs) 12:36, 10 October 2005.

I agree that there needs to be major re-wording. Further to what has been said above, it is noteworthy, that the Allies also carried out a re-education with former Nazis. See the Wikipedia article about Denazification. In case the word "atrocities" should remain, then there should be also an article about "Atrocities of the US during the Vietnam war" and a link to it on this page.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.187.88.48 (talk • contribs) 09:26, 13 April 2006.
