The Hutchinson and Northern Railway (AAR reporting marks HN) is a railroad operating in the U.S. state of Kansas which started operations in 1923 as an electric line serving the Carey Salt mine at Hutchinson, KS. Currently, HN operates 5.14 miles of trackage all located within the city of Hutchinson. Connections are made with the Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF, and the Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad. HN was owned by Processed Minerals INC., a subsidiary of Canadian Pacific.
