Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited

Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (HTIL) is also known under it's brand Hutchison Telecom. It provides telecommunications services in Asia and Africa.
The company is listed on the stock exchanges of Hong Kong (SEHK) and New York (NYSE). 49 Percent are owned by Hutchison Whampoa. HTIL is operating or rolling out mobile phone networks in Macau, India, Israel, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Indonesia and Vietnam. In Hong Kong, it runs a fixed network and the mobile phone network unter the brand "3". Note that with the exception of Hong Kong and Indonesia the "3"-Networks are owned by Hutchison Whampoa.
In early 2007 HTIL made worldwide headlines by selling it's 67-percent interest in the Indian mobile phone network Hutch Essar to Vodafone for 13,1 billion US-Dollars (of which 2 billion were debt).
