Hyde Park Calling

Hyde Park Calling is a music festival in Hyde Park, London, which last took place on Saturday July 1 and Sunday July 2, 2006. It was organised by Hard Rock Cafe and Live Nation.

[edit] 2006 Festival
The festival had two stages, and was headlined by Roger Waters (performing in its entirety the Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon) on the Saturday and The Who on the Sunday. Other bands that performed include Texas, Razorlight, Starsailor, Ocean Colour Scene and The Zutons.
Gates opened at 2:00 and the show ended at 22:15 on both evenings[1].
The Who's Sunday headline performance was released as part of their Encore Series 2006 of CDs & DVDs.

It has been announced that the event will take place during the weekend of 23-24th June 2007.
The official Hyde Park Calling website was updated on 15th March with a total of 6 confirmed acts:
- Saturday 23rd: Peter Gabriel and Crowded House will co-headline, with The Feeling and Ghosts playing earlier in the day.
- Sunday 24th: Aerosmith will headline, with former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell and Jet supporting. [2] The Answer will be the opening act of the day.
It will be Aerosmith's first concert in the United Kingdom for 8 years.
