Cleared 100+ entries on Hyderabad yesterday & today (too slow for 24 hours? ;)). 85% of them link to Hyderabad, India, 10% to Hyderabad, Pakistan and 5% to Hyderabad State. (almost disambiguated all Hyderabad, India entries. Of the unfinished job left, majority would be of Hyderabad, Pakistan with some to Hyderabad State). So, I was wondering if Hyderabad should lead directly to Hyderabad, India with 2 disambiguation links on that page. Any views? ---Gurubrahma 07:44, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
- My view is to follow your idea. However, whenever a proposal like this is made, there is usually objection. Examples: American, perhaps a better percentage lead to United States than 85%, but a redirect was strongly objected (discussion here); Turk, same thing (discussion here). So it's best to wait some time to get a collection of views. --Commander Keane 08:16, September 8, 2005 (UTC)
- I relinked close to 150 disambiguated links to Hyderabad (not at a stretch though). As Gurubrahma noted most linked to Hyderabad, India, I think we should redirect Hyderabad to Hyderabad, India. --SwiftRakesh 11:49, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

It is not even 3 months and already more than 100 pages need to be disambiguated - most of them relating to Hyderabad, India. I'll wait for 15 days for additional comments on the discussion above. I do hope that the consensus would be towards making this link directy to Hyderabad, India. If no comments are forthcoming by the end of 15 days, I'll be bold and make the necessary changes. - You could use WP:RM. It gives 5 days for discussion, and more people will see the move mentioned - so it's more likely to attract comment.--Commander Keane 10:07, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
