I.C. Colony

I.C. Colony is a large colony situated in the suburbs of Borivili (West) {also spelled Borivali} in the North Western face of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The pincode for the colony is 400 103. It is surrounded by other smaller colonies such as LIC Colony, Madonna Colony and Marian Colony and Kanderpada.
The name is derived from the Church of the Immaculate Conception, or I.C Church, which is at the South Eastern entrance of the colony.

The original church was built in the year 1547 by the Franciscans. It had a monastery on top of the church. It was burnt down by the Marathas sometime in the 1700s.
The New church was built by 5 patrons from Bandra in the early 1900s.
The parish is one of the largest in Mumbai. The feast of the church is held on The second Saturday/Sunday of December in the time of Advent.
