I Lost My Little Boy

I Lost My Little Boy was reported to be Hayao Miyazaki's next, and last, film project. It would have been based upon the Chinese book "Wo Diushile Wode Xiaonanhai" (我丟失了我的小男孩) by Yishu, which concerns the story of a young boy with heart disease who goes on amazing adventures. There was controversy surrounding the news, and as of 2006 nothing more has been heard of it. However, as of January, 2007 it has been said that the name of Miyazaki's next film, purportedly his last. It was officially announced in March 2007 that Miyazaki's next film would be Gake no ue no Ponyo. It is not known if I Lost my Little Boy is still being considered for any future film.
