I Luv Halloween
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I Luv Halloween is a graphic novel published by TOKYOPOP in October, 2005. With art by Benjamin Roman and written by Keith Giffen, it tells the misadventures of a group of friends who meet every Halloween for a night of trick-or-treating. When some ill-fated old woman hands out apples instead of the candy they so desire however, they are not afraid to strike back. With suggestive themes ranging from murder to the perverse, this graphic novel is ripe with several strange and disturbing characters from a psychotic, crazed, and murderous little girl named Moochie who dresses like the Tooth Faerie and delights in killing just to steal her victim's molars, to a dog with only half a head named Mush.
[edit] Characters
- Finch
Prepubescent ennui personified. The unflappable ringleader of the loose-knit group of kids that make up the series' trick-or-treater core.
- Pig Pig
The name says it all. Slovenly, gross and borderline feral, Pig Pig epitomizes all things stomach churning. The Garbage Pail Kids have nothing on Pig Pig.
- Devil Lad
The closest thing Finch has to a real friend, mostly due to the fact that Devil Lad only seems to show up on Halloween.
- Mr. Kitty
The pervert. A deviant in the making. The kid most likely to fish Playboy magazines from dumpsters and snicker over the pictures. If it's in questionable taste, it's Mr. Kitty.
- Hully Gully
An epileptic who always wears goggles. Definitely more of an innocent than the rest of the denizens of Turgid Meadow, and seems to love candy more than most.
- Spike
Never says a word because he never has anything worth saying. Alleged to be Mr. Kitty's little brother, alleged because Mr. Kitty not only denies it, but spends an inordinate amount of time trying to kill Spike and make it look like an accident.
- Moochie
Finch's little sister. The single most evil, sinister, heartless, homicidal, sadistic creature walking the Earth. But cute? As a button!
- Mush
Finch's dog. Messed up beyond words due to Moochie "love". Prone to letting loose with any animal noise except a bark.
- Bubbles and Squeek
Two of the town's meaner bullies / trick-or-treat bag slashers. Misplaced aggression on the hoof.
- Nips
The town's cheerleader wet dream. Drop dead gorgeous wrapped around the single most vapid human being ever conceived.
