Ialonus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ialonus is a Celtic god. His name has been interpreted as that of a god of the cultivated field or clearing. Since 'ialo' means 'glade', it has also been suggested that he could be the god of the glade.
Ialonus was worshipped as Ialonus Contrebis ('he who walks among us') at Lancaster, and at Overbourough, Lancashire. A female version of the goddess, Ialona, was worshipped at Nimes, in Province.
