Ian Waite

Ian Waite is a professional Latin-American dancer. He started dancing at age 10 and is a former European Youth Latin American Champion. His dance partner since 2004 is Camilla Dallerup. He is based in the UK but previously danced with Natalia Panina (listed as Natasja Panina on danceplaza.com but Waite's website and details of Ms Panina's other partnerships say Natalia) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands (with 12 competition wins between 1998 and 2001), and in 2003 with Daisy Croes of Belgium. Dallerup and Waite were placed 2nd for Latin American at the 2005 UK Closed Championships.
Waite lives in Reading, Berkshire, and has expanded his career involving lecturing, demonstration dancing and big spectaculars. He has also made a dance video with Angela Rippon and presented a documentary called 'Inside Out' for BBC South following the progress of a young couple from Bournemouth.
He has competed in three series of the BBC's successful Strictly Come Dancing. He was runner-up in 2004 with athlete Denise Lewis, and third in 2005 with presenter Zoe Ball. He departed the competition in the second week in 2006, with his celebrity partner Mica Paris.
He is currently single
