Iazychie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Iazychie (Ukrainian: Язичіє) was an artificial language invented in 19th century by Ukrainian Russophiles to provide support for their theory, that Ukrainian was a dialect of Russian language. Iazychie was used in their publications in East Galicia until 20th century, when it was replaced with Russian. The language was an artificial mixture of Russian and Church Slavonic with Ukrainian pronunciation and regionalisms.
