Ichitami Shikanai

Ichitami Shikanai (born July 31, 1947) is a Japanese aikido teacher living in Brazil.
He was born in Aomori and he studied economics at Meiji University in Tokyo, Japan.
He is currently aikido rank is 8th dan Aikikai. He also holds 2nd dan grades in both jodo and iaido.
He arrived in Brazil in 1975, with Yasuo Kobayashi (his teacher), and is living in Belo Horizonte. He has also taught, to Military Police in Belo Horizonte, the discipline of "attack and defense with a stick".
He founded and administers the Nakatani dojo in Savassi, Belo Horizonte. He also supervises academies in Barra Mansa, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Goiânia, Natal, Niterói, Rio de Janeiro and Jerusalem (Israel).
