[edit] Image:The_Phyrst_Hydrant.jpg
Thanks for asking Mr. Arnold whether you could use Image:The_Phyrst_Hydrant.jpg. However, the image license is incompatible with Wikipedia policy, and the image has been deleted. If you can get him to release the copyright to it into the public domain, it will then be appropriate for use, but, as of now, the license is not acceptable. See also Wikipedia:media copyright questions. Picaroon 01:40, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia, for legal reasons, can only accept images that are tagged in a certain way. The tag you used chose when you uploaded said non-commercial use only, so I, in accordance with the Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion policy, deleted it. Images uploaded to Wikipedia, with rare exceptions, must be usable by all - and that includes commercial enterprises. The page Wikipedia:Images explains this in more depth. [edit] The Phyrst
I restored the redirect to State College, Pennsylvania as a result of the AfD debate here. If you wish to have the decision overturned, you need to submit a request for a deletion review through the process outlined on that page. Thanks! — PSUMark2006 talk | contribs 00:04, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind, I did a bit of checking and found precent supporting an editorial overturn of a redirect decision here. I've restored the article. My apologies and happy editing! — PSUMark2006 talk | contribs 00:14, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what "deletion lists" you're referring to. The deletion discussion at the page you linked will remain as a record of the discussion that occurred regarding the notability of the article. — PSUMark2006 talk | contribs 16:56, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not modify conversations that have completed as a result of an AfD discussion, as you recently did with The Phyrst. If you feel you have improved the article satisfactorily, no further discussion needs to take place on the deletion discussion page, which is intended to be preserved according to the notice places by the closing admin. Additionally, do not remove talk page banners that indicate previous discussion related to the article, as you did on the talk page for The Phyrst. Preserving links to previous discussion is essential in identifying ways the article can be produced, and it is counterproductive to remove them. — PSUMark2006 talk | contribs 02:57, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
