Idle (musician)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Idle is the stage name of Dave Bolster, a Canadian electronic musician.
Idle's first release was What You Do With It (2006), a largely ambient work of drones, hypnotic beats and melodic interplay.
Though Canada remains an upcoming area for some genres of electronic music (house, experimental ambient), a shortage remains of IDM talent. A classically trained pianist, Bolster successfully exploits counterpoint to achieve complexity in what would otherwise be mundane electronica.
A purported release date for the sophomore Idle Goes to the Disco is mid-late 2007.
