Ignatius Piazza

Dr. Ignatius Piazza is the founder of the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump, Nevada. Front Sight Training Institute has garnered worldwide acclaim, having trained more students in more classes, than all other highly regarded training facilities combined.
Dr. Piazza and Front Sight have been involved in educating Mark Wahlberg for his role in the 2007 movie "Shooter" [1]. Also staring Michael Pena, Rhona Mitra, Kate Mara and Eliza Bennett in director Antoine Fuqua's political thriller Shooter. The film centers on an ace marksman (Wahlberg) who is double-crossed and framed for a presidential assassination he was trying to prevent. He is forced to go on the run while trying to track down the real killer and find out who betrayed him.
Front Sight and Dr. Piazza also produced the reality television series Front Sight Challenge, also airing in 2007 on the Versus Network [2]
The title of Doctor is from his chiropractic practice.
There is controversy about Front Sight and Dr. Piazza's connection with Scientology.
On 7 November 2005, a class action lawsuit was filed against Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight Firearms Training Institute on behalf of 3 members alleging fraud, misrepresentation and breach of fiduciary duty [3] as well as violations of the RICO act. On 7 December 2006, a federal judge ordered Front Sight to stop selling memberships that encumber the property owned by Front Sight. Of the over 5000 lifetime members of frontsight less than 3 percent (as of January 2007)have chosen to participate in the litigation, a far larger number have openly refused and filed to be removed from the class action case.
