In Search of Captain Zero is a film scheduled for release in 2008. In Search of Captain Zero is an adaptation of the memoir In Search of Captain Zero (a surfer's road trip beyond the end of the road) by Allan Weisbecker, directed by Stacy Peralta and will star Sean Penn.
Surfer and one time drug smuggler, Allan Weisbecker, searches for lifelong buddy Christopher, rumored to be living somewhere in Central America. The goal is to live their shared dream of the "Endless Summer." The journey takes him through some funny, and sometimes harrowing adventures, culminating in a shocking discovery about Christopher...and himself.
