Talk:Independent University of Australia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Glen Dettman
It is claimed in the article Glen Dettman that he received a BA and PhD from the Independent University of Australia in around the 1930s. This article refers to an unverified "degree mill" which was supposedly founded in the 1970s. If this was a real university early in this century, this should be the article's focus. --Canley 02:35, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

- Found it. Bear, John and Bear, Mariah (2003). Bear's Guide to Earning Degrees by Distance Learning. Berkley, Ten Speed Press. Mind you I wonder why this book would discuss the "Independent University of Australia" when there are only 46 Google hits for this supposed University. Is this a fake university? I've looked this University up in my copies of the Australian Who's Who for 1988 and also 1997 and there are NO references to this University. I think we need to ask the proponent of this article to show it was a genuine Australian University or not. Is this a hoax? Meerkate 12:18, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
