Talk:Information Sharing Council
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi. I did not make any edits to your article but think that there are more members in the ISC than you have listed here. I didn't have a lot of time to double check but here is what I believe to be correct: Source is GAO report number GAO-05-49 entitled 'Homeland Security: Further Actions Needed to Coordinate Federal Agencies' Facility Protection Efforts and Promote Key Practices dated Jan 2005
[4] ISC's membership includes the Departments of State, Treasury, Defense, Justice, the Interior, Agriculture, Commerce, Labor, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Transportation, Energy, Education, and Veterans Affairs; GSA; the Environmental Protection Agency, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and OMB. Other members of ISC include the Director, U.S. Marshals Service and the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs. As a member of ISC, DOD participates in meetings to ensure that DOD physical security policies are consistent with ISC security standards and policy guidance, according to the Executive Director of ISC.
Hope this helps!

- I believe that your list of ISC members should be changed per the Government Accounting Office memo GAO 05-049 (Jan 2005). I can't find any reference that disputes this so I would add
- Department of Agriculture, Labor, Housing and Urban Development, Transportation, Education, Veterans Affairs, GSA, Environmental Protection Agency, Director of U.S. Marshals Service, and the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs.
NCTC, and Homeland Security is not on this list --- which makes me doubt myself and think that there must be a more current list? Still looking for something more definitive.

- Thanks for the help. I will probably start adding these tomorrow, as it's getting late tonight. Just searched for the report, found it. searching for gao 05-049 found nothing relevant, but a search for the title took me straight there. Thanks again :) Umeboshi 04:52, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
