Integrated Locking System (firearms)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An integrated (or integral) locking system is a system built into the firearm by which the owner can lock the action via a proprietary key, theoretically preventing unauthorized use. There is currently a large debate of the effectiveness and potential hazards of such systems (should they fail and either render the gun completely inoperational OR fail to prevent the firearm's discharge).
