Interstate 391 (abbreviated I-391) runs from the I-91/I-391 interchange in Chicopee, Massachusetts to the center of Holyoke, a distance of about 5 miles or so, and is a 3 lane highway that is sparingly used.^{[citation needed]} It runs near the Connecticut River throughout its journey in Chicopee, and crosses into Holyoke and abruptly ends at High Street 0.4 miles south of U.S. Route 202.^[1]
