[edit] FISA proper name
Swlenz (talk • contribs) is currently making edits across wikipedia altering "International Rowing Federation" to the "International Federation of Rowing Associations". I feel this needs to be discussed before too many edits are made.
I have always thought FISA was known as the "International Rowing Federation" and they always refer to themselves as this on their website:
- "The International Rowing Federation (FISA) has announced this year’s World Rowing Event.." [1]
- "FISA, the International Rowing Federation, is empowered by its member National Rowing Federations.." [2]
My opinion is that although "International Federation of Rowing Associations" is the literal translation from the French, since they are commonly known as the "International Rowing Federation" this is the name that should be used across Wikipedia.
