ipConfigure is a developer of IP video management software with a focus in video surveillance, hosted monitoring, and video syndication. ipConfigure was founded in 2003 after completing an enterprise Ip video surveillance deployment for Atlanta Public Schools. This project was the first large-scale IP video surveillance deployment while based on open architecture. The founders recognized that it was a nascent market with limited software offerings. Specifically, it lacked scalable enterprise IP video surveillance management software. ipConfigure would focused on a solution that was both intuitive and scalable while based on a three-tier (computing) web-based application.
With an open architecture in mind ipConfigure released Web-CCTV, the first scalable HTML client-based video surveillance solution on the market and was delivered to the first customer in the fall of 2003. By 2005 it was apparent that the market was adopting IP based surveillance solutions and ipConfigure experienced significant growth.
In 2006 ipConfigure delivered ESM 3.0, the third generation enterprise IP video surveillance application. This version featured increased functionality and a highly intuitive user interface. In mid 2006 ipConfigure developed HVM, the industries first hosted IP video monitoring product, for other companies to resell as a value-added service. Most recently ipConfigure delivered MCS (Media Capture Service), the first HTML based audio/video recording solution for the purpose of syndication.
