- Added a suggestion to bring all the Irda (race) article here, as it is a duplicate. Although the other article is older, I believe this article has more information, and that the (Dragonlance) suffix is already been used in several other links. -- ReyBrujo 05:01, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Involvment in the World
Though the Irda do shun the other races of Krynn and most stay on their isle, there are those who use their "Godlike" magic to travel the world in secret. There is one Irda however who takes and active involvement in the world. Know to the people of the Plains of Dust as The Wanderer, he travels from village to village as depicted in The Middle of Nowhere, bringing new ideas and teaching new skills to the people. He is also very generous, using his magic to create gifts of food or on the odd occasion giving magical objects to those he feels deserve them. He tend to try to avoid all conflict and changing events, but he suttley helps the defenders of the village of Nowhere to defeat the renegade Dark Nights. Calling himself Ezo the traveller, he seeks out adventure in his goal - to traverse the entire continent and see all the cultures of the world. He takes a great interest in the affairs of those he meets, but can never be found when wanted. In The Middle of Nowhere, he is met by 6 fighters hired by the farmers of the village of Nowhere. the companions find him about to be hanged, but the townsfolk are frozen around him. After untying him he explains that he was suspected of beong a spy for the knights and was to be hanged, but he used some powder he picked up on his travels to freeze them, and that they had better go before the townsfolk wake up. During the evenings, Ezo shares food, information about the places he's been, and generally keeps the moral of the villagers and their defenders from dropping. He assists in the parley with the Dark Knights and keeps them from killing Amergin and the General by covering the camp with a temporary blindness. After the final battle between the defenders and the Dark Knights, he follows the defender, a saihumi women, and Robien the tireless to the mine where the slaves from the village were hled, then disappears after leaving a gift of spectacles that allow one to see in the dark for Robien. He teaches each of these tree defenders a lesson about themselve in the stor, which they all come to relize in the end, and then disappears from the series altogether. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.117.197.2 (talk) 23:14, 22 March 2007 (UTC).
