Currently, I'm not participating in writing or editing for Wikipedia. I just don't believe in the project any more. I still find the idea of a mass participation in this kind of project intriguing, but the "everybody's an editor" model just doesn't work.
Wikis are good for collaboration and sharing info in small groups. The idea that you can just put a blank page on the web, and it will magically transform into a reliable reference just won't fly.
I do still use Wikipedia. But very skeptically, and with no illusion its ever going to be a serious encyclopedia. I sometimes add a "citation_needed" as appropriate, just to see what will happen.
