Isham Randolph

Isham Randolph (1685 - 1742) was a grandfather of U.S. President Thomas Jefferson. He was born on Turkey Island plantation in Henrico County, Virginia. He is the son of William Randolph and Mary Isham. He married Jane Lilburne Susan Rogers [1] at St. Paul's Church in the Shadwell parish of England (today east London). He then moved to Virginia. His daughter Jane Randolph married Peter Jefferson, who named his home Shadwell. He descended once from King John of England, twice from King Edward I of England, once from King Jean de Brienne of Jerusalem, twice from King Edward III of England and once from King Pedro I of Castile [2].
