Islands of Tuvalu
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tuvalu consists of 9 separate islands, 6 of which are atolls. Since an atoll typically consists of several islets, there is a total of more than 114 islands and islets.
The 9 islands correspond to the 9 local government districts.
The smallest island, Niulakita, was uninhabited until it was resettled by people from Niutao in 1949.
