ISO 7811

ISO 7811 is a set of 7 (7811-1 to 7811-7) standards describing the recording technique on identification cards. It is an extension of ISO 7810.
It describes:
- embossing, and especially the position of embossing characters on ID-1 cards
- encoding technique on magnetic stripe: description of the three tracks (ISO-1, ISO-2, ISO-3)
- magnetic stripe standard coercivity (Hi-co and Lo-co)
