Wikipedia talk:ISP contact information

At the risk of being told to FOAD, I'm not sure it's an appropriate shortcut. How about WP:ISPS? -- Norvy (talk) 04:40, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
Does this list mean these ISPs will take action against its users if it's documented they are a Wikipedia vandal/abuser? Or is it just a list where you can to look up each ISP's policy and decide whether to report a vandal or not? How receptive are ISPs to complaints of Wikipedia abuse? (Hope I haven't missed the answers somewhere else). --Kat 21:57, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- To answer your first question: the latter. To answer your second question: not very receptive at all, in general. My experience from reporting attempts to compromise SSH or HTTP servers, Bell, Comcast, and Shaw are particularly unresponsive to any type of abuse report. Shaw, for example, seems quite happy to provide services to fraud operations, so I doubt they'll care much about people writing naughty words on some hippie encyclopedia project. ;-) --LX 16:31, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
