Issei Suda

Issei Suda (須田一政 Suda Issei?) is a Japanese photographer.
Born in Tokyo in 1940, Suda graduated from the Tokyo College of Photography in 1962. From 1967 to 1970 he worked as the cameraman of the theatrical group Tenjo Sajiki, under Shūji Terayama. He has worked as a freelance photographer since 1971.
Suda's books include Fūshi kaden (1978); Waga-Tōkyō hyaku (1979); Inu no hana (1991); and Ningen no kioku (1996), which won him the 16th Domon Ken Award. Volume 40 in the series Nihon no shashinka (Iwanami-shoten) is devoted to him.
Suda is a professor at Osaka University of Arts.
