Hello there! My name is Danny Chia, but you can call me Danny. And no, I'm not related to the Malaysian golfer of the same name. :)

[edit] About me
I was born on a sunny afternoon on October 10, 1985 in Mountain View, California. Since my parents are from Taiwan, I am an Asian American. Unfortunately, I was born slightly autistic. But through my efforts and my parents' support, I was able to enter regular education. For those wondering about my religion, I am a Buddhist.
I can speak Mandarin but I can't read or write in Chinese too well!
I graduated from Los Altos High School in 2004. Before high school, I attended Egan Junior High School. As of fall 2006, I am an undergraduate junior at UC Berkeley majoring in Engineering Mathematics and Statistics.
Some of my interests include family vacations and computer games. I am also interested in computer programming, using languages such as Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, MATLAB, and Scheme. I also enjoy reading about science and mathematics. Subjects like chemistry, physics, astronomy, geology, cryptography, computer science, and number theory usually interest me.
I love many types of music, such as techno, trance, classical, choral, stuff from video games, and some New Age, especially those with natural sounds (such as albums by Orange Tree Productions).
In my spare time, I also enjoy watching action movies, such as Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and Independence Day. I also like science-oriented television shows, such as MythBusters and Cosmos. Of course, good docudramas, such as Supervolcano, are also fun to watch. :)
As a nature lover, I enjoy hiking, especially in the mountains and forests. I like the American deserts as well, provided that the weather is just right - in other words, not too hot! That means that I enjoy going to national parks and state parks. You might have seen me starting and updating articles about such places!
I'm also somewhat interested in high-powered lasers, model rocketry, consumer fireworks, and pyrotechnics in general.
Some of you may wonder how I got my username. A long time ago, I was addicted to the computer game Final Doom. The file name of the game's official site was "ixfd.htm", and for some odd reason, I thought that the letters "ixfd" sounded cool. The game had 64 levels, and I thought that 64 was an interesting number, so that's how I chose "ixfd64" as my username. I guess that Nintendo 64 started the trend.
In June 2004, I became a player moderator on the online game RuneScape. I regularly contribute to the RuneScape Wiki.
[edit] Wikipedia stuff
I decided to sign up for an account, even though I have made "anonymous" contributions before. I found this site while I was looking for some information on QuakeC. I vandalized that page when I was new, but of course, I tried to fix it up after my little test. Although, I didn't know how to properly revert a page back then.
Since then, I have been starting and improving many articles, as well as reverting vandalism. I believed that knowledge should be free, so I decided that I should become a regular contributor. Before I registered on December 14, 2002, you may have seen me as two "anonymous" IPs, which I have listed below.
On September 21, 2005, I was promoted to an administrator! I would like to thank everyone for their kind support. I will try to live up to my expectations.
