Izel Jenkins, Jr. (Born 1964) was a former North Carolina State University and Philadelphia Eagles defensive back during the late 1980's and early 1990's. He was selected in the 11th round of the 1988 draft. Jenkins frequently played in nickel and dime situations.
He acquired the nickname of "Toast", due to fans and commentators believing Jenkins gave up too many big pass plays (or colloquially being "burnt" - hence "toast") to opposing wide receivers, often leading to large gains and touchdowns by the other team.
He was cut by the Eagles in 1993.
